Getting Ready for the Cake Sake
- Tomorrow there will be a CAKE SALE in school. Children can bring in a €1 for a goody bag.
- Plant Sale on the school green tomorrow also.Bedding Plants to buy and Hanging Baskets etc. to order.
Lara and a Paper Bear have been busy making buns for the cake slae.

Senior Infants Tour
On Monday May 10th we will be going Marley Park for a picnic and fun(weather permitting) in the playground and then off to Imaginosity in Sandyford. We are hiring 2 buses to take the 4 classes. We will need 3 or 4 parents from each class to accompany us. Children are bringing home a note and permission slips and these should be returned with €14 as soon as you can.
Children come to school as normal.
Wear a school tracksuit.
Bring a packed lunch .
No money needed.
****Bus will return at 2.30****

Paper Bears
Today we got paper teddies from Canada. We got three, one made by Isabella, one by Christopher and one by Kayla. Each one has a journal and we will take turns bringing it home. They would like us to write a little about what we do at home . We will be sending them back to Canada in June.

Zohaib came back from his holidays today. He had to stay in Dubai for a few days while the planes were grounded. He brought us back a model of a rickshaw. These are like taxis in Pakistan.They have only 3 wheels and are painted in bright colours. The model Zohaib gave us is decorated with jewels.

We are learning about how to care for our teeth.
These are the things to remember.
Try to have sugary drinks, cakes or sweets at meal times only.
Brush your teeth twice a day.
Avoid fizzy drinks .
Use a straw if you are drinking a fizzy drink.
Next week we will learn about brushing properly and everyone will be getting a new toothbrush.

Farmer Duck Photostory
We are doing a class novel this week.
Its called Farmer Duck.
It was written by Martin Wadell. He wrote Owl Babies as well. He can wriggle his ears , he hates onions and he has a cat that can open doors!
We are going to make a photostory to share on our blog when we are finished reading the book .
